Greater St. Louis has a history of building some famous partnerships: Lewis & Clark, Ice & Tea, Rhythm & Blues, Ice Cream & Cones, Ike & Tina and Cardinals & Baseball to name a few. Today ARCHS continues the region's partnership building tradition.

As an award-winning private 501c3 not-for-profit organization, ARCHS serves as the official "Community Partnership" for the Greater St. Louis Region on behalf of the State of Missouri.

Our Lifelong Learning Partnerships:
ARCHS promotes education as the key to personal and professional success. ARCHS is nationally known for building collaborative public and private community partnerships that foster Lifelong Learning experiences that enrich the lives of the region's children and adults.
ARCHS' Lifelong Learning Community Partnerships focus on:
- Pre-Kindergarten: Building an educational foundation for infants and children.
- Grades K-12: Ensuring youth are ready to become productive citizens.
- Adult Learning: Promoting on-going education for adults of all ages.
- Community Education: Fostering regional thinking and collaboration.
Our History & Results:
ARCHS is one of 20 Community Partnership organizations serving the state of Missouri. The state-wide partnership concept grew out of a St. Louis-based program started in the early 1990s that was later expanded across the state by Missouri's Governor and Legislature.
The Missouri Department of Social Services contacts with ARCHS to serve in the partnership role. ARCHS is not a state agency, it is a private not-for-profit with 501c3 status.
Today, Missouri's Partnerships are coordinated through Missouri's Family and Community Trust (FACT). There are only a handful of states across the nation that have similar partnership models. Missouri's 21 Community Partnerships currently reach nearly 80-percent of the state's children.

ARCHS has a successful 13 year history of leveraging more than $200 million in area public and private resources and collaborating with community leaders and organizations. Each year ARCHS' partnerships positively impact the lives of thousands of residents. ARCHS' many community accolades include What's Right with The Region Honors and Healthcare Advocacy Organization of the Year Accolades.
Our Expertise: 1+1 = 3
ARCHS brings organizations together on behalf of its funding partners to maximize their collective expertise - ensuring the whole of Greater St. Louis' community resources are indeed greater than the sum of their individual parts. This includes leveraging funding.
ARCHS maximizes funding/resources using a 1 + 1 = 3 (leveraging) model. For example, let's say ARCHS is provided with a $1 million grant from a funding partner. ARCHS in turn partners with other organizations to add an additional $300,000 or more in either cash or in-kind goods or services - ultimately delivering a partnership valued at more than $1.3 million.
ARCHS does not deliver programs to the general public. On behalf of its funding partners, ARCHS selects service delivery partners that have the best skills and talents to provide services (child care centers, after school programs, adult education, etc.)
ARCHS meets and exceeds its funding partners expectations by using a strategic management system that enhances and supports the service delivery partners and their client services.
This is the basis of ARCHS' motto:
Building Great Partnerships for the
Greater Good of Greater St. Louis.
